Teak

This is a young Teak (Tectona grandis) sapling, characterized by its large, opposite, ovate-elliptic leaves. Teak is a highly valued tropical hardwood tree native to South and Southeast Asia, including India. It is widely cultivated for its durable, rot-resistant timber, which is extensively used in furniture, boat building, and construction. The identification is based on the distinct leaf shape and arrangement typical of young Tectona grandis specimens.

In traditional medicine, various parts of the Teak tree are used. The bark is sometimes used for treating bronchitis and hyperacidity.
